In 1980, at the proposal of the Union of Romanian Composers and Musicologists, he benefited from a specialization and documentary scholarship offered by the Italian Government at the “Santa Cecilia” Academy in Rome; he specialized in polyphony and composition with the famous Italian musician of Romanian origin Roman Vlad (1981 – 1985).
